Pictured Rocks

Rolled into Munising today, right straight into the DENSE fog coming off of a very cloudy Lake Superior.
Arrived just in time to drive around the town and grab a wood-fired pizza along with a Michigan Blueberry Lager and enjoy live music at the must-stop East Channel Brewing Company.

Today we explored the entire length of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore via Lois.
Weather today cleared up a tad from yesterday, although the forecast called for an even brighter outlook than experienced. Winds were strong coming off of Lake Superior, cold fog/rain persisted for the majority of the day. Yet, the 22 mile drive up and back lasting a good 5 hours via H-58 rewarded us with majestic views.
Tomorrow we will see the same stretch of land from the water’s perspective.

Seeing Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore from the water is spectacular!
I’m so happy the weather cleared today and the sun was out. Still, sitting up top on the cruise boat was COLD 🥶❄️💨 We toughed it out though and came prepared with blankets. Who knew in mid-June it could be in the 40s in the Upper Peninsula?
After cruising, we stopped to warm up with a delicious Yooper dish – a pasty (say “past”- eee).
